I'm sure you've seen that commercial (maybe not), apparently an attempt by McDonald's to seem friendly and intimate with Michigan, in which they say something like, "There are a few things we value in Michigan: Hockey, skiing, other words, hockey, more words, another example, and hockey." They show images of that then promote their product, ending with the narrator saying, "ba da ba ba ba, Hockey!"

....

Ok, so I get that we're close to Canada, and we have the Red Wings, but seriously, I wasn't aware that hockey was that big of a deal in Michigan. The only person I know who played hockey was my cousin Dave, and he lived in Pennsylvania. It just irritates me that these advertisers obviously have no idea what we REALLY value in Michigan ("Soo, Michigan has lots of snow... I think they like hockey there. Let's go with that"), or they have like one Michigander on their advertising team who was some hockey fanatic, and said, "OMG, guys, I'm from Michigan, and lemme tell you, we LOOOURVE hockey there! Haha hooboy!" Iuno, maybe I'm wrong about this, but I never got a big "hockey vibe" from living here.

I will now pose to you a question I've been considering for some time now.

Setting: April Fools Day, location of choice.
Scenario: You, getting your arm chopped off.
Reaction? Everyone thinks it's fake long enough to delay your arm's attachability!

Ok, maybe that's a bit extreme, but don't you think it happens? I think accidents are probably more deadly on April 1st, at least in the reaction to them. Don't you agree? A sample conversation:

Tom: *is making a smoothie and sticks a spoon in there, subsequently blasting the spoon back and striking his eye* AHH my eye!?!!(@!*&#%
George: haha whatever dude
Tom: Seriously! I'm bleeding!
George: I told you you weren't going to get me like you did last year

And the scenario continues! Don't you think it's plausible? I do.

Haha. Look at the various attractivenesses of my lookalikes and laugh, please. Virginia Woolf? Stevie Nicks? My favorite, though, is Adrian Brody. I think we were twins once. No longer though.

This is what I said to Campbell's:

It has come to my attention that the quality of SpaghettiOs is in a downward spiral of the worst kind. Now, I have been eating SpaghettiOs for a long time (I'm 20). After I first noticed this decline in quality, I said, "come on now, Campbell's! That must've just been a bad can/ a fluke new idea. They'll pull it together!" But no - across variety and time, your "improvements" have continually degraded the quality of the SpaghettiO name. The soup is watery and gross. I know, I know - there's a growning health concern from parents, but really? Do you have to take out that much quality? I much prefer, MUCH prefer, the taste of the off-brand spaghettiOs. Even when SpaghettiOs are on sale, I rarely buy them unless giving them another chance at tasting good (which they never do now). So, I suggest you thicken up your tomato soup and get back that old tasty flavor that I remember as SpaghettiOs - If you forgot how to make them like that, try the Meijer brand - it's delicious.

Why did I say this? Because it's true. SpaghettiOs think that they have to be "Rich in Calcium!" Uhh, No... That's not the idea. Feed your kids some milk if they need that, dumb parents. Be true to your quality taste!

Did that catch your attention? Huh? Did it?

I've been on a band name binge lately - That's one there, right from my fingertips. No thinking involved. Another was Doppleganger, but I looked on Myspace and it was already taken like 38 thousand times. Laura thought of "Bird Scientist" though, and I don't think that was taken. I'd use that. I have decided that I will either start my own business or my own band, whichever comes first/easiest.

If you want to know a secret, send me a facebook - it will be your reward for communicating with me/reading my xanga! And everyone loves secrets.

Yeah, it's been a while. I wouldn't mind bringing back the xanga. I feel like I just don't have much to say that's interesting.

Well, school sucks. Mostly two things - my crappy roommate and Chemistry. And IAH. I like my philosophy class though. The Prof is super ... Philosophy-like. I'll just be glad when the semester is over, because it means those things are over forever (unless I fail chemistry) and I'll be going to Europe. I'm very excited, and surprisingly not too nervous about flying alone. In fact I feel kind of grown up for it. I guess I am almost 20. That's so weird to think about... Kind of like going from 12 to 13. This one might be better though.

So I might get a moped next year to get around. What do you think about that? It might be kind of scary - I'll have to drive it over the summer to get used to it, and to save gas.

Anyway, I don't have much to say, so I'll post a picture as usual and discuss it:

Oh geez... I just searched "flear" because it was the word in my title originally, and I realized it was something I didn't want to associate with. Looked like anime porn or weirdness. So take my advice and don't look that up. And Flear is a better word than flar... Stupid anime porn taking cool made-up words...

So, this picture.... I'd like to know what's going on in it. I personally think the wolf is cute than the girl, who looks like she's holding a dirty rat covered in laundry lint. And like she just ate some raw meat with her face only. Maybe it's just Little Red Riding Hood. Here's the real summary/caption. If I were better in French I would explain it, but I'm not. "Misha Defonseca, âgée aujourd'hui de 74 ans, a traversé l'Europe à la recherche de ses parents, déportés par les nazis. Seule et protégée par les loups." I think it says that this [picture is from a movie about] a girl (who is now 74 in reality) who travelled around Europe (researching?) after her parents were deported by the Nazis - "alone and protected by the wolves." Ok, so I was kind of off on the Red Riding Hood thing, but maybe not so far off on the meat eating and linty rat.

I went to a concert with Anathallo and Frontier Ruckus... Both of which are sweet. So you should look them up, probably on myspace, unfortunately. I admit, it's not too bad, myspace. Mostly for the music factor. Anathallo had a band member who looked like Billy Boyd. He was crazy.

Here's a line from the book I'm reading that I thought was really funny:

"It makes me think of some of those houses in the Rousseau Development where they put a sign up with a photo of a massive, supermenacing Doberman and a bubble that says BEWARE OF DOG!, while everyone knows that in the house is a toy poodle named Gramps who gets panic attacks from children and flies."

Maybe it was just late, I don't know. I mostly like that the dog's name is Gramps.

So Weird...

So I come to this site randomly (well, pretty random - megan made an entry a week-ish ago and I came to czech it out and wandered over to my own... anyway) and I notice the number of days I've been a member is 1095 ("Wow, that's a big number" said xanga). Divide that into days and.... It's exactly 3 years! I just happened to come back on my 3 year xanga anniversary and didn't even mean to! I'm like super awesome.

SO.... While I'm here.... I thought I'd spill a bit. Dish. Spread some goss. Or just talk about myself/bore the reader.

I think I'm going to be pretty honest. Yeah, that sounds like fun!

I don't think I've ever had so few close friends as I do right now. Ok, at least since I can remember/thought it important? I don't know. But I feel like the number of people I can hang out with and either not get into a fight or feel pretty comfortable around is quite low. This summer, Hannah has her new job, and will not be around very much. Probably the same for Ashley. These are my closest friends at the moment. We share a lot of common ground that others don't have which, if you're reading this, you should know what I'm talking about. Rosa and Megan.... Hello girls, I suppose you're subscribed to my site still, though I'm not sure. Anyway, you'll be the only ones reading this I'm sure, so I'll just say some things to you candidly. Rosa, I love you, you can be great to talk to.... When I need advice. When I'm mad and want to vent, not so much. Sometimes I don't want your advice, and that's a problem with me lately, I guess, being mad. I don't know why. And we haven't been talking a lot lately. I feel a bit out of the circle, and we all know why. Whatever you think, I'm actually not a huge fan of it. I think I'm wandering into vaguesville right now so if you need clarification, you know how to reach me... Hah. Ok, anyway... Megan.... Oh gosh. We do not get along anymore do we? I know you and Rosa are BFF's. You don't have to shove it in my face all the time. I'm glad you are, in fact. I just feel like you do that pretty frequently - making a point that you and Rosa are a unit as me and Han are. I might be making stuff up/be crazy, but, think back to your comment at swingout when we stood up for an example.

Collegio will be here before we know it, and new friends will come into our lives. This is our last summer to be as friendly as we are. I think we should make the most of it for optimal fun. Anyone agree? Anyway, I don't plan on dropping you lot when I get back, so I'd like to strengthen the bonds a bit if that's ok. Unless you don't want to. That's ok, I guess... I'm not going to be trying to be friends with people who couldn't care less either way. So, drop me a line and tell me what you think about this. Savvy?

Yeah, it's me. Whew, I've not been here for a while / been dedicating much time to this here site. So here's some stuff.

School is busy..... I have so much homework, it's crazy. I took too many hard classes. I have 3 drawings to do by monday, read like 08923 pages for some farmer's wife story or something, psych reading, matho, french workbook up the wazoo, and more to come! So I'm not liking schooly.

We made an awesome blood drive commercial today. Unfortunately we had to make a friggin Dairy Queen run after practice for some reason and then afterwards we were offered free ice cream but all of us felt too sick to eat any more. Or at least, not hungry for it. Then we made the commercial with a limited staff since it was after 4 and thus everyone had gone home. = 2. Han-man and I. So hopefully it's not too stupid. I mean, yes, it will be, but not to an embarrassing level. We were watching it and sitting on a table and we laughed once and it broke. Tables these days...

I hope I have a positive imact on people. Or at least hope they'll remember me fondly, and not just as that crazy girl.

I'm so dumb sometimes. I'm just.... Not intelligent about things. My mind has a synapse error or something and it seems so right at the time and then it's just.... Not. Like my math quiz? I totally didn't even think for that last question what i was writing. Then I just believe stupid crap and it makes me really mad. You probably don't know what that refers to but oh well. And, also, I just feel so lazy/like I can't keep up in school. Could be attributed to the difficulty/homework load year. I don't know. I don't want my senior year to be this hard but... What choice do I have now? I guess it's not that bad. I won't complain.

Xanga makes pics have really low quality. Makes me mad.

Ok, would you rather hug a porcupine (spikes in or out? you choose and say in which case would you pick that over the following alternative) or smell like fart for a year (level of stink is also up to you. specify)?

Holy crazy. This thing is revamped. I obviously haven't updated in a while.

Ok, so it's time for a normal entry - not just a bunch of pics. What say you? I don't care.

Ok, so first off, I'm a horrible driver. Well, in certain cases, that is. I'm fine in a place I'm familiar with. But when I am the designated driver to oh, say, football games in Sparta, I just end up almost killing my poor dear friends. I assume things that seem normal for the area: For instance, in a residential area, I assume 4 way stop, not 2 way. Then I just get confused in turn lanes and almost swerve into other cars with my second guessing of myself. So, next time, I will not drive if it is in another city. Grand Rapids, maybe. Anywhere else, I'm not going to take the chance, haha. But seriously.

So, second off, I do not like people who are different around other people. Ok, different isn't the right word: You can have your inside jokes and different type of craziness/humor around different friends. Most people will do that at some point. But when it comes to being nice to a person vs. being cold and.... not nice, I say, come off your high horse. Stop thinking people will judge you, or whatever it is you think. I don't know if that makes much sense. I just don't get people sometimes.

Now for some updateage. I got a new cam - it's aight. Very multi-function. The pic quality isn't my favorite, but it's fine for friend-pic taking purposes.

School. It's coming. I'm semi-excited. I didn't like the prospect of being a senior at first, but it's growing on me. My classes seem like they will be pretty cool, too.

Seriously guys, I'm not gay. Don't worry.

But, while we're on the subject....

Would you rather have to kiss your same-sex friend or be tortured - by tortured I mean like, sticking-sharp-needle-like-things-beneath-your-nails torture? (I got that from Lost, don't worry. I'm not demented) It's a tough one, I know.
